Golf is fascinating! What makes it so unique? An 18-hole round of golf takes four to six hours. It requires a great deal of concentration and stamina. It is the tranquillity and the slow pace, walking on grass, experiencing the landscape and enjoying the surrounding nature with all your senses – that is what makes golf so unique! In the Salzkammergut, this landscape and nature are exceptionally beautiful! Gentle hills, clear lakes and rugged mountain slopes vie with one another to offer the most spectacular views. The region’s most beautiful golf courses

There are a total of 13 golf courses in the Salzkammergut and the surrounding area, all situated in close proximity to one another. All courses have one thing in common – they are situated right next to fairytale lakes. Just a 10-minute drive from the Hotel Winzer lies the 18-hole Attersee Golf Club near Abtsdorf. The par-71 course captivates with its wonderful location and offers many views of Lake Attersee and the surrounding mountains. On the opposite side of the lake, near Weyregg am Attersee, lies the Attersee GC Weyregg. A 9-hole golf course with a lovingly renovated farmhouse serving as the clubhouse. Between Attersee and Traunsee lies the 18-hole championship course of Golf Regau Attersee-Traunsee, boasting the largest pro shop between Linz and Salzburg. The western neighbour of Lake Attersee is Lake Mondsee. There, between Drachenwand and Lake Mondsee, lies the 18-hole championship course of the Golf Club am Mondsee. With a par of 72 and a stunning location, ultimate golfing pleasure is guaranteed. Between Lake Wolfgang and Bad Ischl lies the 18-hole golf course of the Salzkammergut Golf Club. Things are a little more intimate at Lake Fuschl. There, in addition to a 9-hole course near Fuschl, you’ll also find a 9-hole course on the opposite shore by Fuschl Castle – one of Austria’s oldest golf courses. Further golfing opportunities are not mentioned by name here due to space constraints. Suffice to say – the options are plentiful. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
