That extra touch of romance
Treat yourselves to special experiences for two! At Hotel Winzer, this is easy with the bookable extras that bring you intimate togetherness. This is romance for all the senses and on every level. It’s not for nothing that they say ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’. To ensure you can indulge your romantic feelings through culinary delights too, we offer everything to delight your palate and satisfy your appetite – from a bottle of Prosecco, sparkling wine or champagne, through to chocolates, Sacher heart cake and chocolate fondue, right up to a candlelit dinner, a cosy breakfast in your room and fondue chinoise. But the other senses aren’t neglected either! The classic bouquet of roses is of course part of the offering, as is a special cosy basket, or unique experiences such as a cosy bath with champagne and chocolate fondue, a harmony massage in the couples’ room, a hot-air balloon ride, a helicopter flight or a drive in our Rolls-Royce convertible or other dream cars. If you’re planning a drive, you can order a well-stocked picnic basket so you can simply enjoy nature together in a meadow or by the lake during your trip. As an insider tip for couples, we recommend the luxurious waterbed cocoons, where the two of you can feel truly close and secure.
Valentine’s Day and romantic occasions
Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on 14 February. The origins of this custom are disputed. Some believe it is a modern custom dating back to the adoration of Hollywood heartthrob Rodolfo Valentino. He was always presented with many flowers by his fans on 14 February. Historical sources, however, point to Saint Valentine and the Romans. In honour of the Roman god of fertility, Lupercus, young people were paired up in a love lottery. The young lovers, however, wanted to choose their partners themselves and had Bishop Valentine marry them. This ran counter to the plans of Emperor Claudius, who needed many new young soldiers and not faithful couples. Thus, after a long period of imprisonment, Valentine was finally beheaded in 269 AD. 14 February was therefore introduced in the 5th century as a feast day for lovers within the Church, but was removed from the Roman calendar in 1969. Nowadays, drawing on its significance in the USA, Valentine’s Day is also celebrated here as an important day for declarations of love. People give their loved ones flowers, chocolates or other romantic gifts. This also includes vouchers for romantic experiences for two. The Hotel Winzer also offers such vouchers. The special vouchers for romance packages have evocative names such as ‘Rendezvous of the Senses’, ‘Head over Heels’ or ‘Make a Wish’.
All vouchers have one thing in common – they offer unforgettable moments together in a wonderful atmosphere, showing your partner that you love them. That is pure romance!
