Why are we renovating?

First, we need to analyse the current status of our family-run business. We are a popular wellness and cosy hotel in the Salzkammergut with many regular guests and three in-house spas. We could rest on our laurels, but our guests’ expectations are constantly rising. To fulfil all our guests’ wishes and ensure the hotel is fully booked, we set out to find a solution. This led us to the wellness mecca of South Tyrol. Why? Because there is significant growth there, and alongside excellent hospitality and cuisine, a very special sauna culture has developed. In modern and innovative saunas, event infusions are celebrated, resembling rituals and offering guests not only relaxation but also entertainment. The artistic performances sometimes resemble theatre scenes. The sauna serves as the backdrop and was built specifically for this purpose

. We were able to see this for ourselves and were very impressed by the performances. After a brief period of reflection, we decided to give our hotel a fresh impetus in this direction, in order to offer our regular guests new and significant added value and to attract new guests to the Hotel Winzer.

What is being renovated?

Our Sole Spa is the most exclusive spa in the hotel, which until now could only be used by a limited number of guests. With a saltwater pool, a saltwater steam bath, the salt lounge, saltwater floating loungers, a herbal sauna, a waterwheel sauna, an outdoor lounge, as well as relaxation and balance cocoons and a select buffet, it already offers a wellness paradise on earth. We want to expand this area and make it even better. We plan to create an event sauna with space for 48 guests, along with an outdoor natural pool. Furthermore, a plunge pool, an ice fountain with fresh crushed ice and a modern ice mist walkway are planned, offering the perfect way to cool down after the sauna. A spacious relaxation room is also planned around the event sauna, offering plenty of space to unwind. The new area will remain open during the winter months. A generous glass front and the exclusive roof terrace offer wonderful views eastwards towards the Höllengebirge.

With these investments, we are on a par with the state of the art in the wellness community and hope for a warm reception from our guests.
