What do you need to know about suites?

Everyone is familiar with a suite, if not from personal experience, then at least from films... The word ‘suite’ comes from French and means ‘sequence’. The concept of the suite originated in the French Baroque period, when large rooms were created in new palaces for families and guests. The term was adopted by the hotel industry and has since referred to the most expensive and best-located rooms in a hotel.

What makes a suite special?

Generally speaking, one can say that a suite impresses with its spacious rooms and luxurious furnishings. The view is usually outstanding too, and there are many extras that you won’t find in other rooms. At the Hotel Winzer, we take a unique approach to these extras in particular. Because here at the Hotel Winzer, romance is our top priority, so our standards for suites are different. What does a suite need to provide a couple with a relaxing time? A private hot tub? A private infrared cabin? A crackling open fire?

The suites at Hotel Winzer

The Hotel Winzer is situated on Lake Attersee and is renowned for its outstanding wellness and romantic offerings. The hotel’s main themes are special romantic packages, exclusive cosy rooms, seductive spas and passionate cuisine. The combination of wellness, luxury and cosy amenities makes the hotel truly special. At the Hotel Winzer, you can choose from two categories of suites, each measuring 60 square metres: the Harmony Suite and the Cosy Suite. In the Harmony Suite, the first thing you notice is the scent of Swiss stone pine, as here you’ll find not only Swiss stone pine furniture but also a Swiss stone pine infrared cabin. This guarantees restful nights and deep relaxation. The suite also features a double whirlpool with a champagne effect and a bio-ethanol fireplace for cosy moments by the fire. Add to that the balcony with panoramic views – this makes the suite a real highlight of the hotel. Whilst the Cosy Suite doesn’t have an infrared cabin, there’s plenty of space set aside for cuddling. Alongside the romantic cosy pool, the snugly positioned bed also creates a romantic atmosphere.
