Pineapple and Ginger Jam

What is an essential part of a delicious breakfast? That’s right! A deliciously sweet, fruity jam. And it tastes best when homemade. Renate Winzer shares one of our absolute favourite recipes with you – for delicious pineapple and ginger jam.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg pineapple, finely diced
  • 60 g finely chopped ginger
  • 1 packet of Quittin
  • 1 packet of citric acid
  • 1 kg jam sugar

Here’s how to make your jam perfect:

First, simmer the pineapple and ginger with the jam sugar. Then add the Quittin and citric acid and give everything a good stir. Now the hot jam can be poured into the prepared, well-rinsed jars.

Nothing now stands in the way of a wonderful Sunday breakfast with fresh pastries and homemade pineapple and ginger jam...
