Advent markets nearby

Not far from Hotel Winzer, there are three Advent markets right on Lake Wolfgang. In Sankt Gilgen, Advent beckons with Baroque paintings and a cosy wine arbour. In Strobl am Wolfgangsee, alongside the finest handicrafts and regional specialities, you’ll also find traditional music groups and Swedish torches. And in Sankt Wolfgang, visitors can enjoy lively traditions featuring singing angels, a nativity scene with 70 life-size figures, brass bands and the ‘Engerl’ post office. You can also experience a special Christmas atmosphere in Mondsee, Bad Ischl or at the ‘Schlösseradvent’ on Lake Traunsee. 
By car or train, you can quickly reach Salzburg and the Christmas market around Salzburg Cathedral. A pre-Christmas highlight in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Linz is also easily accessible from the Hotel Winzer. As well as a visit to the impressive St Mary’s Cathedral, the Christmas market on the main square is particularly recommended.
